Read the following:

2. From the Commissioner of Fisheries, A.P. Hyderabad, Letter No.1350/J1/2016, dated 15.3.2016.

ORDER:

In the reference 1st read above, the Government of India, Ministry of Agriculture, Department of Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Fisheries, New Delhi have issued orders imposing uniform ban on fishing by all fishing vessels in the Indian Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) beyond territorial waters on the East Coast from 15th April to 14th June, 2016 (both days inclusive) (61 days) including Andaman and Nicobar Islands and West Coast from 1st June to 31st July 2016 (both days inclusive) (61 days) including Lakshadweep Islands for conservation and effective management of fishery resources and also for sea safety reasons.

2. The Commissioner of Fisheries, Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad in his letter 2nd read above, among other things, has requested the Government to issue orders on marine fishing ban to be imposed in the territorial waters of the State of Andhra Pradesh during the year, 2016 under APMFR Act, 1994 for 61 days from 15.04.2016 to 14.06.2016 (inclusive of both days).

3. Government have been implementing the closure of season on Marine Fishing for 61 days from 15th April to 14th June, 2016 as directed by the Government of India for conservation and effective management of fishery resources and also for sea safety.

4. Government after careful examination of the matter, hereby issue the following notification which will be published in the next Extra-ordinary issue of Andhra Pradesh Gazette:-

NOTIFICATION

In exercise of the powers conferred by Sub-Section (2) of Section 4 of the Andhra Pradesh Marine Fishing (Regulation) Act 1994 (Act 9 of 1995), Government hereby prohibit the fishing operations by different Mechanised fishing vessels and those fishing crafts fitted with outboard as well as inboard engine (motorized fishing boats) excluding the non motorized traditional fishing crafts in the territorial waters along the entire coast of Andhra Pradesh during the period from 15th April to 14th June, 2016 (both days inclusive) (61 days)
